A Support Consultant of 5-Star Performance Solutions, Kim has over 20 years diverse management experience in manufacturing, operations, logistics, consulting, project management and quality systems implementation. She served in management positions in the shipbuilding, business products and automotive industry, as well as, a recent Logistics and Operations Manager for an international corporation supplying GPS systems to transportation authorities throughout the world. She has worked and traveled extensively throughout China, Japan, Europe, Mexico and Canada. She has experience implementing ISO/QS 9000 systems in international organizations, as well as, implementing a MRP system for a multi-site organization. She is skilled in facilitating process improvement teams and was responsible for the implementation of a document control system and purchasing training program for two large companies.

Kim has served as a Virginia Senate Productivity and Quality Award (SPQA) state assessor for the past three years. The Virginia SPQA, is adapted from the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Kim is founder and co-owner of Mediation Resources, LLC as well as owner/operator of S.S.D., Inc. in City Center at Oyster Point in Newport News. She specializes in consulting and training services in the areas of management and quality systems, as well as team facilitation and dispute resolutions. She is a Virginia State Supreme Court certified General District and Juvenile and Domestic Relations (JDR) Mediator and mentor and mediates civil and JDR cases, both in private practice and for all local courts.

Kim attended Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) and Nazareth College in Rochester, New York and has a BS degree in Business Administration. She achieved Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) status through the National Association of Purchasing Management NAPM, and Certified QMS Internal Auditor, RAB, in 2000 through ASQ, as well as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) in 2000. She is a Virginia Pninsula Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute Graduate, Class of 1997.
