A Support Consultant of 5-Star Performance Solutions, Heather is an organizational and leadership development professional. She has 10 years of experience in training, organizational development, internal consulting, strategic planning and recruiting.

Currently, Heather works for Hampton City Schools (Virginia) as an Organizational Development Coordinator. She focuses on assessing the climate and culture in schools and the impact of communication and relationships. She conducts needs assessments for training, and develops and facilitates training in the areas of: communication, learning and teaching styles, conflict management, team-building and leadership development. She is a qualified user of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and has conducted numerous training sessions on communication preferences.

Prior to her current employment, Heather was a Planning Analyst for Canon Virginia, Inc. There she coordinated and developed company-wide strategic plans working directly with the CEO and Executive Team. She developed systems to track organizational Key Performance Indicators on a monthly basis; facilitated executive meetings to create goals, vision and long term organizational planning and generated proposals for new business development opportunities. Her other previous experience included the position of HRD Specialist for Canon and HRD Coordinator for Reliance Staffing Service. Heather is a Certified Professional in Human Resources through SHRM, and is registered as an Organizational Development Professional through the Organizational Development Institute.

She has a M.A. in Adult Education and Human Development from George Washington University in Washington D.C. and a B.A. in Communication from George Mason University in Fairfax County, VA.
