Gettysburg (1993)

This reenactment of the civil war's most pivotal battle portrays the character of leadership in the most challenging of situations.  Filming occurs on the actual battlegrounds of Gettysburg.  The two main skirmishes are Chamberlin's defense of Little Round Top and Picket's Charge.  In both of these events many men had to sacrifice their lives.  They were battles of attrition.  The leaders who decided upon these strategies knew the fate of their country and countrymen lay in their hands.
