5 Star Training and Consulting

T3 (Train the Trainer)

Trainers can be some of the most influential leaders in the workplace.  They manage organizational knowledge, demonstrate the organization’s values and practices, and communicate directly with employees across levels and departments.  Many trainers are selected for this role because of their knowledge, experience, and desire to help others succeed.  Only some corporate trainers are formally educated in adult learning principles, and very few subject-matter-expert trainers understand the technicalities of teaching. Our T3 program develops trainers at all levels to maximize their instruction so they can achieve better transfer of knowledge and workplace performance.

Most other train-the-trainer programs have minimal practice time and focus on platform performance.  We believe a trainer should focus on the learning process, and students’ experiences and needs. We believe in performance-outcome training. T3 participants do more than listen to theories and ideas, they present from the platform each day to demonstrate application of sound adult learning concepts. They receive feedback from peers and get a chance to refine their lesson for a final, video-recorded presentation on the last day.

The T3 program is customizable to your organization’s industry and the unique needs of your culture. Its purpose is to develop your training staff to the next level departmental performance. Our primary instruction is on platform delivery; however, we also help training departments establish curriculum and program evaluation practices. The structure and content of our programs are based on our years of experience training trainers and supporting training departments.  If you have a trainer development need, let us help support that initiative.
